Gordon Green is an up and coming new event space within Gordon Square Arts District in the Detroit Shoreway neighborhood of Cleveland. The place is a mix of modern with a hint of its industrial and historic past. The original hardwood floors, tin roof, beautiful and lush ceremony space, the ample amount of light filtering through the giant windows, and the clean, open floor plan makes it a magical and versatile space for anyone and everyone. Though renovations aren’t complete in the downstairs area, the large getting ready space has plenty of mirrors, sitting space for your loved ones to relax, and lots of light and architectural elements. The outdoor space for ceremonies feels private and lush, surrounded by tall hedges, all while being near the heart of Cleveland! There are artistic touches everywhere, including the murals on the walls near the ceremony site, making the space feel even more creative. Not only was the space amazing, Jacob and his team at GG were phenomenal, helpful, and kind; its clear they’re so excited to share in the memory making that’ll happen here for years and years to come.

Industrial with a historic, modern flair. The original hardwood floors, tin roof, crown moulding and ceiling tiles, beautiful and lush outdoors ceremony courtyard space, the ample amount of light filtering through the giant windows, and the clean, open floor plan (I could go on and on) makes it a magical and versatile space for anyone and everyone. The neutral bright white walls allow for any and all wedding or event vision whether it be peaches and pinks, or dark and moody.

Giant windows EVERYWHERE. And I mean everywhere. 10/10 for natural light. One of the ceremony sites is in the great outdoors, so you know that perfect afternoon light is great, too. The bright, white walls help bounce light everywhere. And as the night winds on inside, the mood is set by hanging globe lights for that warm, mid century flair for maximum glamour and ambiance. This is a great place for bouncing flash during reception time due to the white walls.

Being so close to downtown and in the Gordon Square Arts District, there are so many photo opportunities available. So many different areas are all within a five minute walk or drive down the road. There are plenty of industrial brick buildings in the surrounding area, as well as Edgewater Beach, with Lake Erie as the backdrop, Ohio City (lots of murals and charm galore), West Side Market, and the Gordon Square Arts District itself. Gordon Green is in such a versatile spot for photos no matter what vibe you’re going for, not to mention it being a stunning photo opportunity in itself. In the basement there are streaks of light that pour through onto the bricks that create an epic photo opportunity. This venue is what you make of it, it’s a beautiful empty canvas that you can create in.
